Ehab Tarabieh


Project: The Taste of Apples is Red

Ehab Tarabieh was born in Majdal Shams in 1982, a small village in the Syrian Golan Heights


Growing up under Israeli military occupation, Tarabieh was politically active at very young age. He studied classical violin at the Conservatory for Classical Music in Damascus before relocating to the Czech Republic to study film.


In 2012 Tarabieh graduated from the Sam Spiegel Film & Tv School in Jerusalem, there he made several award-winning short films.


Joining B’Tselem in 2010, Tarabieh has been leading the organization's citizen journalism project, with over than 200 Palestinian families and volunteers in the West Bank and Gaza. The project has revealed never-before-seen footage of settler and army violence and has gained extensive international media exposure.


Currently, Ehab is the head of the Video Department at B'Tselem and he's developing his first fiction feature film “The Taste of Apples is Red”.


The Taste of Apples is Red will be Ehab's first feature film.
