Project: Protected Species


Previous achievements:

"THE SON" (Short) Bulgarian Academy Award, best Short, 2016; Short Feature Award, Cottbus Film Festival, Germany, 2016.

 

"Enemies" (Short) Grand Prix, Euroshorts, Poland, 2015.

 

Hristo Simeonov was born in 1985 in Bulgaria. In 2013 he graduated with a Master degree at the South-West University in Bulgaria.

 

His graduating film "Enemies", won Grand Prix at Euroshorts International Film Festival, Best Student Film at Early Bird ISFF, and an Honorable mention at the Sofia International Film Festival.

 

After his graduation he started doing TV documentaries for the Bulgarian National Television.

 

His short film The Son won the Main Short Film Prize at Cottbus Film Festival (2016) and Best Short Film Award at the Bulgarian Film Academy, and it was screened in more than 40 festivals around the world. 


Protected Species will be Hristo's first feature film.
