Moshe Rosenthal



Previous achievements:

"Leave of Absence" (Short) Best Short Film Director, Jerusalem Film Festival, 2016.

"Confess", (Web series) Grand prix award, Marseille Web Festival, 2017.


Moshe Rosenthal graduated from the Steve Tisch Film & TV School, Tel-Aviv University. During his studies he wrote and directed 2 short films, “Clara’s Youth” and “The Cities of My Youth”, both participated in a variety of international and local festivals.


After finishing his studies, he started directing commercials, music videos and writing for television.


In 2016 he won the best director award at the Jerusalem film festival for his short film Shabaton (Leave of Absence). The same year, the long awaited project "Confess" an innovative web drama series, written and directed by Rosenthal, was released, creating an international interest and winning awards in different web festivals all around the world. In 2017 Rosenthal wrote and directed "The Way Back", a short film set in the Israeli desert.

Independence will be Moshe's first feature film.
