Takeshi Fukunaga

 

Takeshi Fukunaga is a Japanese filmmaker based in New York.

 

His first feature film, Out of My Hand premiered in the Panorama section at the 2015 Berlin International Film Festival and won the Best Film Award at the 2015 LA Film Festival.

 

Takeshi has been nominated for the 2016 John Cassavetes Independent Spirit Award and selected for the 33rd Cannes Cinéfondation residency. He is currently developing his second feature film, Iomante, which was selected for the 2018 Jerusalem International Film Lab.


Iomante will be Takeshi's second feature film.
