Michal Vinik

 

Michal Vinik graduated the Film and Television Department at Tel-Aviv University as a scriptwriter.

 

She majored as a director in the MFA program, winning two scholarships for excellence.

 

Her first short film, Bait (2009) was screened at the Sundance Film Festival, and her second short, Reality Check, premiered at the 2011 Locarno Film Festival.

 

Michal is currently teaching screenwriting at Tel-Aviv University and the Beit Berl Academic College.

 

Barash, which received a special mention at the 2012 Jerusalem International Film Lab, will be her first feature film. It will premiere at the 2015 San Sebastian International Film Festival.
