The $50,000 Sam Spiegel International Film Lab Grand Prize, generously donated by the Beracha Foundation, was awarded last night to Zejtune from writer-director Alex Camilleri and producers Rebecca Anastasi from Malta and Ramin Bahrani, USA.
Semaine de la Critique artistic director, Ava Cahen, the head of this year’s jury presented the prize at a gala ceremony hosted by the French Consulate in Jerusalem.
The jury decided to split the Sam Spiegel International Film Lab Emerging Filmmaker Award into two extraordinary projects: Elka’s Not a Shiksa | Aleeza Chanowitz and Red Gold | Mathieu Volpe.
FACTORY 54 awarded the $8,000 Artistic Vision Award, to Ice and Cream writer-director: Oshri Zeituni
